I think I am beginning to understand why grief feels like suspense,” CS Lewis wrote after the death of his wife. “It comes from the frustration of so many impulses that had become habitual. Thought after thought, feeling after feeling, action after action, had H for their object. Now their target is gone. Nice photos. I see you went to brighton. I did visit the place as well for the first time this summer. I found resting on the stones at beach very relaxing.

Brighton’s stones: Very relaxing to lay on while catching the sun, but it was agony to walk down them and swim in the sea.
Aside from that, it was a nice day out from London. I hadn’t swam in the sea for years!
